Maternal Paternal Line

Zilpha Putnam was born on April 15, 1784. She was the daughter of William Putnam and Submit Fisk. On February 19, 1807 in Buckland, Franklin County, Massachusetts, Zilpha married Nehemiah Sabin. Zilpha and Nehemiah were the parents of Dencey, Zilpha, David, Louisa/Lovina, Laura, William Putnam, Harriet O.. By the end of 1807 the family had moved to Halifax, Windham County, Vermont. Zilpha died on July 11, 1867 in Stockton, Chautauqua County, New York, at the home of her eldest son, David.


William Putnam was born on January 7, 1758 in Sutton. He was the son of Elisha Putnam and Lydia Chase. On June 25, 1778 William married Submit Fisk. William and Submit were the parents of Zilpha. William died on July 22, 1818 in Buckland, Franklin County, Massachusetts.
Elisha Putnam was born on December 2, 1715 in Topsfield, Essex County, Massachusetts. He is the son of Elisha Putnam and Susanna Fuller. Elisha married Lydia Chase on March 3, 1742. Elisha and Lydia were the parents of William and Andrew. Elisha died in 1758 in Crown Point.

Elisha Putnam was born on November 3, 1685 in Salem Village, Essex County, Massachusetts. He is the middle son born to Edward Putnam and Mary Hale. On February 10, 1710 in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts Elisha married Hannah Marble. Elisha married second, Susanna Fuller on February 15, 1713. Elisha and Susanna were the parents of Elisha. Elisha died on June 10, 1745 in Sutton, Massachusetts


Edward Putnam was born on April 5, 1654 and baptized on July 4, 1654 in Salem Village, Essex County, Massachusetts. He was one of six children born to Thomas Putnam and Ann Holyoke. Edward married Mary Hale on June 14, 1681. Edward and Mary were the parents of Edward, Elisha and Isaac. Edward died on March 10, 1747 in Salem Village, Essex County, Massachusetts.

Thomas Putnam was born in March 1613 in Aston Abbots, Bucks County, England. He was one of two sons born to John Putnam and Priscilla Gould. In 1634 he came from England to Massachusetts with his parents. Thomas married Ann Holyoke on August 17, 1643 in Lynn, Massachusetts. Thomas and Ann were the parents Ann, Sarah, Mary, Thomas, Edward and Elizabeth. In Salem in 1666 Thomas married second Mary unknown last name, the widow Veren. Thomas died on May 5, 1686 in Salem Village, Essex County, Massachusetts
John Putnam was born about January 17, 1578 in Aston Abbots, Bucks County, England. He was the son of Nicholas Putnam and Margaret Goodspeed. About 1611 in England, John married Priscilla Gould. John and Priscilla were the parents of Thomas and Nathaniel. In 1634 the family immigrated to Massachusetts where John was granted 100 acres of land and became a Farmer. John died on December 30, 1662 in Salem Village, Essex County, Massachusetts.

Nicholas Putnam was born about 1540. He was the son of John Putnam and Margery unknown last name. Nicholas married Margaret Goodspeed. Nicholas and Margaret were the parents of John. Nicholas died about 1598.
John Putnam was born about 1515. He was the son of Richard Putnam and Joan unknown last name. John married Margery unknown last name. John and Margery were the parents of Nicholas. John died about 1573.

Richard Putnam was born about 1490. He was the son of John Puttenham and an unknown mother. Richard married Joan unknown last name. Richard and Joan were the parents of John. Richard died about 1557.
John Puttenham was born about 1455. John married an unknown woman and was the father of Richard. John died about 1520.
