Susannah Horton
was born on October 11, 1779 in Orange County, New York. She was
one of five children born to Barnabas Horton and Abigail
Dickerson. On September 17, 1801 Susannah married Paul
Case in Southold, Long Island, New
York. Susannah and Paul were the parents of Abigail, George Havens,
Justus Albern, Selden Benjamin, Lorenzo, William Harrison and
Polly Maria. Susannah died on November 17, 1858 in Southold, Long
Island, New York.
Barnabas Horton was
born on March 7, 1745 in Southold, Long Island, New York. The
only son born to Barnabas Horton and Abigail Parshal.
Barnabas married Abigail Dickerson on November
18, 1767. Barnabas and Abigail were the parents of Anna, Rebecca,
Barnabas, Justus and Susannah. Barnabas died in Orange County,
New York.
Barnabas Horton was born in 1720
in Southold, Long Island, New York. One of nine children born
to James Horton and Anne Goldsmith. Barnabas had
the title of Captain. Barnabas married Abigail Parshal
in November 1739 in Southold, Long Island, New York. Barnabas
and Abigail were the parents of Barnabas and Abigail. On December
10, 1747 Barnabas married Susanna Bailey. Barnabas and
Susanna were the parents of Anna, Benjamin, Bethia, Susanna, Julia
Ann, James, Gilbert and Jonathan. Barnabas died on April 17, 1787
in Southold, Long Island, New York.

James
Horton was born in 1694 in Southold,
Long Island, New York. James was one of eleven children born to
Jonathan Horton and Bethia Wells.
James married Anne Goldsmith on December 3, 1717 in Southold,
Long Island, New York. James and Anne were the parents of Abigail,
Anna, Bethia, James, Barnabas, Thomas, Silas, Ezra and Jonathan.
James was a Deacon in the church. James died on May 16, 1762.
Abstracts of James' will
Wife, Anne, use of dwelling house and barn, as long as she remains
his widow. Eldest son, James, house and land, where son Barnabas
now dwelleth. Second son, Barnabas, all my other land in the township
with the housing I now dwell, and barn, and one right at Shelter
Island, all said land and meadow accomodations after his mother
hath done with them, also James land if James has no children.
Half my husbandry impliments. Third son, Silas, land and meadow
at Goshen, that I purcahse from Hobart Thompson. Fourth son, Esra,
30lbs. Fifth son, Thomas, 140 acres joining to Silas' land. Youngest
son, Jonathan, the remaining part of my land at Goshen, that I
purchased from Mr. Everit, which joins to Thomas' land.

Anne Goldsmith was born
between 1698 and 1701. She died on March 8, 1783.
Jonathan
Horton was born in 1648 in Southold, Long Island, New York.
He is one of eight children born to Barnabas Horton and
Mary Langton. Jonathan married Bethia Wells
between 1672 and 1674 in Southold, Long Island, New York. Jonathan
and Bethia were the parents of Abigail, Caleb, Caleb, Bethia,
Barnabas, William, Mehitable, Jonathan, Mary, Patience and James.
Jonathan died on February 23, 1707.

To son, Jonathan, my now dwelling house. Brother, Benjamin, and
son, William, house and lots adjoining to the
land of Mathias Curwin, also lots west of my son Jonathans line,
and one lot of woodland lying near Corchoge Pond, the land of
Henry Case east and 3 lots of meadow known by the name of Captain
Tuckers meadow at Corchog. Youngest son James all my right of
land and meadows in great hogneck and six acres of meadow at Goose
Creek next to the land of Henry Case. Grandson Jonathan Horton,
son of Caleb (deceased), 5 lots of
woodland, lying westward of the land of Thomas Goldsmith (deceased),
and eastward from the land of Samuel Moore. Daughter, Bethiah,
wife of Henry Tuthill, 10 sheep. Daughter, Mahitable, wife of
Daniell Tuthill, 10 sheep.
Daughter, Mary Goldsmith, widow, 2 cows. Daughter, Abigall, 1
cow, 1 heifer, 1 feather bed, and all furniture
belonging when she comes to 18 years of age or day of marriage.
Daughter, Pattience, 1 cow, 1 heifer, 1 feather bed, and all furniture
belonging when she comes to 18 years of age or day of marriage.
Granddaughter, Mehitable, daughter of my son Barnabas - deceased,
12lbs. Wife, Bethiah, sufficient space in the dwelling house.

Barnabas Horton was
born on July 13, 1600 in Mowsley, Leicester, England. He is the
son of Joseph Horton and Mary Schuyler. Barnabas
married Anne Smith about 1621 in England. Barnabas and
Anne were the parents of Jospeh, Benjamin and Mary. Barnabas immigrated
to Hampton, Massachusetts between 1635 and 1638, on board the
ship named Swallow, with Jeremy Horton as Captain. Also aboard
the Swallow were The Budds, John Tuthill, Richard Terry, Thomas
Mapes, Matthias Corwin, Robert Ackerly, Joseph Corey, John Conklin
and Isaac Arnold. About 1639 Barnabas married Mary Langton,
they were the parents of Caleb, Joshua, Jonathan, Hannah, Sarah,
Mary, Mercy and Abigail. Barnabas, Mary and his two sons, Joseph
and Benjamin, from his first marriage moved to New Haven, Connecticut.
In 1640 along with twelve others, Barnabas sailed from New Haven,
Connecticut to the eastern end of Long Island where they landed
and established the village of Southold. Barnabas was a Deputy
to the General Court between 1654 and 1664 in New Haven, Connecticut.
He was a Constable between 1656 and 1659 in Southold, Long Island,
New York. Barnabas died on July 13, 1680 in Southold, Long Island,
New York and is buried in Old Church Yard, Southold, Long Island,
New York.
Abstract from Barnabas' will
Eldest sonne Joseph tenn Sheepe. Benjamin my second sonne tenn
Sheepe. Eldest daughter, Hannah Trevale, tenn Sheepe. To my daughter
Sarah Concklings Sonne Viz Joseph Conckling Fiue Sheepe. Third
daughter, Mary Budd, fiue Sheepe. Third sonne, Caleb, one horse.
Fourth sonn, Joshua, all the house, lands, meadows, orchard and
common of pasture, which was mine and now in his possession, and
the one halfe of all my meadow and upland within the bounds of
Occabanke and all meadow at Oyster Ponds, and one Horse kinds
for his person. Youngest son, Jonathan, all my dwelling houses,
barns, out houses, home lotts, earable lands, and whatso ever
else of right belong to my possession which is neither before
nor after in this my last will, with
the exception that the new house remaine solly to my wife, Mary.

1611 in England. She died after 1698 in Southold, Suffolk County,
New York.
Joseph Horton was born in 1578
in Mousley, Leicestershire, England. He was the son of William
Horton and Elizabeth Hanson. In 1599 Joseph married
Mary Schuyler. Joseph and Mary were the parents of Barnabas.
Joseph died in 1640 in Springfield, Massachusetts.

in 1578 in Mousely, Leicestershire, England.
William Horton was
born in 1550 in Halifax, England. He is the son of Barnabas
Horton and an unknown mother. William married Elizabeth
Hanson in 1571 in Halifax, England.
William and Elizabeth were the parents of Joseph. William died
in 1640 in Suffolk County, New York.
Barnabas
Horton was born about 1524. Barnabas and an unknown woman
were the parents of William. Barnabas died in 1570 in Saddington,
England.
