Susannah Comfort
was born on April 14, 1731 in New Town (Elmhurst), Ulster County,
New York. She was one of two children born to Benjamin Comfort
and Elizabeth Haywood. Susannah was christened on April
18, 1731 at the Presbyterian Church in Newtown, Queens County,
New York. About 1747 Susannah married Detter Milspah
and they were the parents of Matheis, Benjamin, Matheis, William,
Robert, Johannes, Adam, Peter, Stephen, Jacob, Philip and Susannah.
Benjamin
Comfort married Elizabeth Haywood on March 7, 1724 at the Presbyterian Church in
Newtown, Queens County, New York. Benjamin and Elizabeth were
the parents of William and Susannah.
